There are many beautiful places in the world I would like to visit and to see my own eyes those ones which I have read or heard about. But I completely agree with the English proverb “There is no place like home’.
I am a happy girl, because I live in a wonderful place Shatura, a small native land, dear to my heart.
I love its modest beauty. And if you only knew how beautiful my native place is in different seasons! I think that only here one can see motley grass, bright paints of flower beds and meadows in summer. In autumn it’s multicolored, simply charming. In winter it is filled with magic and poetry. And of course, spring…. There is plenty of light, greens, flowers and fragrance.
Only here I feel my inseparable ties with Russia which is especially sharp when I go away.
New places always attract us. I don`t know what about you, but I always feel myself comfortless when I leave Shatura.
My home is not only my native town; it’s also a small village Felisovo in our region. In Shatura I was born, here I go to school, hang out with my friends. I love my town, but nevertheless I always look forward to every moment I can visit the dearest person for me – my grandmother. On the way I imagine myself going upstairs of our old house, which keeps the memory of my ancestors and my first steps. I open the door and hear: “Hello, granddaughter, darling!” Then we drink tea under my lovely apple-tree (which is the same age as I) talking by grunting cockerel.
I hurry to the nearest coppice to visit my “girl-friends”. Here they are my sweet birches. They see me, nod their curly heads, greeting. Here I have a favourite glade. There are always flowers in summer and mushrooms in autumn there. It`s great to lie on the grass, looking into the blue – blue sky dreaming. I dream that my birches will stay here forever. I wish my native people were healthy for many years. I dream that my own children could see this beauty, feel their link with nature, native land.
In the evening I come back home, have a cup of country milk with granny’s pies. Again and again I listen to grandma`s stories about her life, not an easy one. Then I go to bed and fast asleep on my favourite sofa – the couch of my childhood.

My small Motherland
I`d like to tell you about my small Motherland. My small settlement differs little from other quiet settlement of Central Russia. Everything is simple. But the nature is nice, with wonderful and impressive landscapes. That is why the air is clean and fresh. There is a big forest, impressive and beautiful rivers. You can admire swimming and sunbathing in summer, skating and skiing in winter. The name of our settlement is Znamenka.
Znamenka was founded in 1700. In the beginning of 17 century near the river Tsna and Karian the brave people began to land this beautiful place.
In 18 century this land was presented tothe general Zagryaskiy by the Tsar for the special awards before the Motherland.
There is a museum in our settlement where Pushkin`s wife Nataly Goncharova was born.
In 1812 the Goncharovs came to Zagryaskiy saving from Napoleon. On the 27 of Augusts in 1812 in this house the future Pushkin`s wife N.N Goncharova was born.
There is the Blue Hall in our museum. It is famous for its unique acoustics system. Now there are a lot of pictures of local painters here.
There is the ancient park near the museum. It was organized by the Zagryaskiy in the 18 century in 1857. It was rebuilt by graph Stroganov. There is magnificent scenery in the park. You can admire the singing of the birds and a beauty of the landscape.
We have a nice school in our settlement. We shall celebrate the 50-th anniversary of our school in this year.
I like English very much, because we have not only good lessons but a lot of English parties. I like my English teacher Lebedeva N.V. and want to be like her. We have a nice club, where we can dance, sing songs, act. I like to dance very much. What’s more, I take an active part in the concerts of our school and our settlement.
I like my settlement and I’m proud of my small Motherland.
Я бы хотела рассказать о моей малой Родине. Мой маленький посёлок мало, чем отличается от тихих посёлков Центральной России. Всё здесь просто. Но природа прекрасная, с чудесными и восхитительными пейзажами, вот поэтому и воздух здесь чистый и свежий.
Большой лес, чудесные и прекрасные реки. Вы можете наслаждаться плаванием и загоранием летом и катанием на лыжах и коньках зимой.
Наш посёлок называется Знаменка.
Знаменка была основана 1700 году. В начале 17 века, около реки Цна храбрые люди начали заселять это прекрасное место.
В 18 веке этуземлю получил в награду от царя генерал Загряжский за особые заслуги перед Родиной.
В нашем музее есть Голубой Зал. Он знаменит своей необыкновенной акустикой. Сейчас здесь очень много выставок картин местных художников.

Около музея находится старинный парк. Он был заложен Загряжским в 18 веке в 1857 году и перестроен графом Строгановым. Великолепные пейзажи в парке. Вы можете наслаждаться пением птиц и красотой пейзажа.
У нас в посёлке прекрасная школа. Мы будем праздновать пятидесятилетие нашей школы в этом году.
Я очень люблю английский, не только потому, что у нас хорошие уроки английского языка, но и много хороших вечеров на английском.
Я люблю моего учителя английского языка Лебедеву Н.В. и хочу быть похожей на неё.
У нас есть хороший клуб, где мы можем танцевать, петь песни и заниматься театральным делом.
Я очень люблю танцевать. Более того, я принимаю активное участие в концертах школы и посёлка.

Many people like spending their holidays in the countryside. Life in the village is different from life in the city. Country air is less contaminated. There are lakes and meadows with grazing cattle. There are a lot of things you can do while staying in the countryside. You can take a stroll in the forest and listen to some birds’ singing, you can go fishing or swim in the lake. You can simply sit by the river watching sunset.
Everyone who lives in the village has their own farm. Some people rear hens, pigs or goats. Everyone has their own vegetable garden where they grow vegetables, fruit and berries. In the nearby forest they go to pick mushrooms.
In summer people stock up with firewood to stoke the stoves long winter nights.
Каждое лето я провожу несколько недель в деревне. Эта живописная местность расположена вдали от пыльного и шумного города.
Многие люди любят отдыхать в деревне. Жизнь в деревне отличается от городской. В деревне чище воздух. Там есть озера и луга, где пасется скот. В деревне всегда можно найти увлечение по душе. Можно отправиться на прогулку в лес и послушать пение птиц, поехать на рыбалку или поплавать в озере. Можно просто посидеть на берегу реки, любуясь закатом.
У всех людей, которые живут в деревне, есть свое хозяйство. Некоторые разводят кур, свиней или коз. У всех есть собственный огород, в котором они выращивают овощи, ягоды и фрукты. В близлежащий лес люди ходят за грибами.
Летом люди заготавливают дрова, чтобы топить печи долгими зимними вечерами.
Every man has his own Motherland. It`s the place, where a man was born. May be this place is usual and uninteresting for other people, but for you it is the dearest place in the world. There is no place like home. No need to roam the world in the search of the most beautiful place. You should turn around. It`s your native home place, the land, where you were born, whose beauty you imbibed with your mother`s milk. One of such place is my native village. The history of my village began in the 18th century, when the people began to settle on the left bank of the river Severski Donets (Siverskoye), so the first name of the village wasderived from the name of this river. Later the village was renamed in Krivtsovo. The people of my village are very hospitable, they are always glad to meet the guests. We have many interesting traditions, such as: Festivals of folk and children`s song, we celebrate the Day of the Village, Farewell Winter Festival and the Day of old people. This place is for those people who are looking for peace and a lovely rural environment. There is no traffic noise here. So, if you want to walk on a carpet of meadows and flowers or climb the hills covered with thick woods or fish in our ponds or drink the crystal clear water, Krivtsovo is just this place, which you must visit!

Welcome to our village!
The village Old Zubaryovo is one of the largest villages in Krasnoslobodsk district. It is situated on the right shore of the river Moksha. My village has mild climate: winters are cold, springs and autumns are warm, summers are hot and warm.
My village is washed by the river Moksha. There are two lakes in my village: Chistoe and Kamyshovka. The Old Zubaryovo is closely linked with the village Penkovo, with Zarechnoe village and the settlement Preobrazhenskiy.
The village was named in honor of the rich landowner Zubaryov who inherited the land in 1842.
My village ismodest, there are no special attractions, but it is very beautiful. Ordinary and friendly people live in my village. They are always ready to help each other. I am proud of my small homeland, my village – The Old Zubaryovo.
Деревня Старое Зубарёво – одна из самых больших деревень в Краснослободском районе. Она находится на правом берегу реки Мокша. Моя деревня имеет мягкий климат: зимы холодные, весна и осень тёплые, лето жаркое и тёплое.
Моя деревня омывается рекой Мокша. В деревне есть два озёра: Чистое и Камышовка. Старое Зубарёво тесно связано с деревней Пеньково, деревней Заречное и посёлком Преображенский.
Деревня была названа в честь богатого землевладельца Зубарёва, который унаследовал землю в 1842 году.
Моя деревня скромная, здесь нет особых достопримечательностей, но она очень красивая. Простые и дружелюбные люди живут в моей деревне. Они всегда готовы прийти на помощь друг другу. Я горжусь моей маленькой родиной, моей деревней – Старое Зубарёво.
