The largest tigers are Bengali and Amur subspecies. Males of these subspecies can reach up to 2.3-2.5 m, and in some cases up to 2.9 m in length without a tail and weigh up to 275 kg, and in some cases up to 320 kg.
Tigers hunt alone. Despite their substantial body weight tigers can reach speeds up to 60 km/hr. During the hunt tigers are able to jump to a height of 5 m and 9-10 m in length.
Tigers can carry their killed prey, holding it in its teeth or throwing the prey on the tiger’s back. In the case of hunting for large prey (gaur or Asian buffalo), the tiger can pull them on the ground. The weight of the dragged (9) prey can be up to 6-7 times of its own weight.
The ability to hunt is not an innate (10) form of behavior. Mother tigers need to teach their cubs how to do it.
Tigers are good swimmers and often bathe in ponds, lakes and rivers, thus (11) keeping cool in the heat of the day.

Cats are considered to be the most preferable and beloved animals by humans, and they could be found in every fifth family. Domestic cats are amazing, but their wild kin is much more gorgeous and fabulous one than pets. The biggest and one of the most incredible member of the cat family is a tiger.
The animal has a lot of common habits with other cats: tigers scratch trees, hunt and use their urine to mark their places. Although, unlike almost all members of cat family, they swim very good, like water and cool off in pools or streams from time to time. They adore bathing and can swim almost 30km in a day.
Subspecies of the tiger are not numerous and include the Sumatran, Siberian, Bengal, South China, Malayan and Indochinese ones. Unfortunately, nowadays such subspecies as Caspian, Bali and Javan tigers don’t exist anymore, because these wild cats are used to being a precious trophy for poachers.
The animal doesn’t usually roar at other animals when it is scared or going to attack, like lions do it, but roars to communicate with others. Every stripe on a tiger is unique, like fingerprints or DNA. It’s is a big mistake to think that this cat attacks humans if it espies them anyway – just a small number of these cats adores man’s fresh meat. Most of them prefer to hide, if they are not very hungry, scared or furious. Generally they prefer buffalo, deer, wild pigs, and others and sometimes travel many miles to find them.

Хотя, в отличие от почти всех членов семейства кошачьих, тигры умеют очень хорошо плавать, любят воду и прохлаждаться в бассейнах или ручьях время от времени. Они обожают купаться и могут проплыть около 30 км за день.
Подвиды тигра не многочисленны и включают в себя Суматранского, Сибирского, Бенгальского, Китайского, Малайского и Индокитайского. К сожалению, в настоящее время такие подвиды, как Каспийский, Балийский и Яванский тигры больше не существуют в природе, потому что эти дикие кошки традиционно являются драгоценными трофеями для браконьеров.

In summer a circus gave performances in the town park. Randy was at one of the performances and liked it very much, but he sat very far and did not see the animals very clearly. When the performance was over, Randy came out into the park and met two big boys from his school. They decided to go to the tent where the cages of the animals were and look at the animals.
They went behind the tent and looked into it, but they did not see the animals well because it was already evening. Then Randy decided to crawl under the tent and go up to the cages. The boys did not know that the man who looked after the animals did not lock the tiger’s cage. The animal was tied to the cage with a chain. The chain was long and the tiger could come out of the cage and walk about near it.
Randy was in the tent when the tiger saw the boy and jumped at him. Randy fell to the floor and began to call for help. The tiger stood over the boy and looked at him.

Они прошли за палаткой и заглянули в нее, но они не видели хорошо животных, потому что уже был вечер. Потом Ренди решил проползти под палатку и подняться к клеткам. Мальчики не знали, что мужчина, который ухаживал за животными, не закрыл клетку тигра. Животное было привязано к клетке цепью. Цепь была длинной, и тигр мог выходить из клетки и ходить вокруг нее.
Ренди был в палатке, когда тигр увидел мальчика и прыгнул к нему. Ренди упал на пол и начал звать на помощь. Тигр стоял возле мальчика и смотрел на него.
Вторая часть рассказа о том, что произошло между Ренди и тигром.
At that moment the animal trainer, who was a young woman, came into the tent and saw the boy under the tiger. She jumped on the tiger’s back, caught the chain and pulled the tiger’s head back. The animal looked at the trainer and left the boy. Randy began to crawl back away from the tiger. He wanted to get out of the tent. But the tiger caught the boy by the head and pulled him back.
Blood ran over the boy’s face and hands. Then the tiger began to play with the boy like a cat plays with a mouse. He caught him by the hand, then by the leg. Randy cried and cried with pain.
The trainer was a brave woman. She caught the chain again and pulled the tiger’s head back. Then she put her left hand into the animal’s mouth and the tiger left the boy. Randy stood up and ran out of the tent. There was blood all over his head, hands and legs. Now the trainer had to pull her hand out of the animal’s mouth. She hit the tiger on the head and quickly pulled her hand out of its mouth. Blood ran over her left hand but the trainer pulled the tiger with her right hand into the cage, and locked the door behind the animal.

People took her and Randy to the hospital where they stayed for some time.
В этот момент дрессировщица, которая была молодой женщиной, вошла в палатку и увидела мальчика под тигром. Она прыгнула на спину тигру, поймала цепь и потянула голову тигра назад. Животное посмотрело на дрессировщицу и оставило мальчика. Ренди начал ползти назад, прочь от тигра. Он хотел выбраться из палатки. Но тигр поймал мальчика за голову и потащил его назад (ибо нефиг лезть, куда не следует).
Кровь побежала по лицу и рукам мальчика. Потом тигр начал играть с мальчиком, как кот играет с мышью. Он ловил его за руку, потом за ногу. Ренди плакал и плакал от боли.
Дрессировщица была храброй женщиной. Она опять поймала цепь и оттащила голову тигра назад. Потом она засунула свою левую руку в рот животному, и тигр оставил мальчика. Ренди встал и выбежал из палатки. Его голова, руки и ноги были в крови. Теперь дрессировщица должна была вытащить свою руку из пасти животного. Она стукнула тигра по голове и быстро вытянула свою руку из его рта. Кровь побежала по ее левой руке, но дрессировщица затащила тигра правой рукой в клетку и закрыла дверь за животным.
Люди забрали ее и Ренди в больницу, где они и оставались некоторое время.
Вот так страдают нормальные люди из-за всяких придурков.
