My School Day
On week days I get my alarm-clock for a quarter past seven but I get up at half-past seven. It takes me about ten minutes to wash and get dressed and then I go downstairs and have breakfast. Usually for breakfast I drink a cup of tea and have some marmalade and a toast. Then quickly I sort out my books for the day and meet my friend at the corner of my street at ten past eight.
By twenty past eight we are at school and we are able to talk to out friends for twenty minutes before we have to go to our separate classes for registration at twenty minutes to nine. At nine o’clock our lessons start. They last for forty-five minutes but then at eleven o’clock we have mid-morning breakfast for twenty minutes and then have one more lesson before lunch-time.
At twenty past twelve we have a lunch break and usually we all sit in the dining-hall and eat our sandwiches with our friends, or a few of us have school dinner. If the weather is I nice we sit in the playground and eat our lunch there. We have two lessons from half-past one to half-past three and then it is home-time.
After a tiring day at school I relax by sitting down and talking to my mother about my day until dinner is ready at five o’clock. After dinner I start my homework. I always have something to do, either to read a book, or to do some exercises or write an essay or learn for a test. By nine o’clock I always try to finish doing my homework so then I can relax by talking to my family and watching television. Then I go to bed at half-past ten in order to be up bright and early the following day.

Сегодняшний материал посвящен школе. Я подготовила два коротких и простых рассказа на английском языке «Мой день в школе». Тексты даны с переводом. Их можно взять за основу, что бы написать свое сочинение на английском на тему о том, как проходит ваш день в школе.

I meet my friends every morning. We walk to school together. My house is very close to school, it’s only a five-minute walk. Some students come with their parents.
Lesson one starts at 8:00 am. We are all excited to learn something new. My favorite lesson is Math. Our maths teacher is pretty strict and smart. I love his lessons. In Russian schools lessons are timed for 45 minutes. We have one break between each lesson. During time break between lessons I play games with my friends. I like spending time with them.
At 12:00 we have lunch time. Lunch is my favourite part of the school day. I get to eat and talk to my friends. We eat lunch in the canteen. After lunch it’s a Geography class. It’s normally a really boring class.
The school day gets out at 2:45 p.m. Then finally I get to go home and watch some YouTube videos. I get home at different times, depending on what I have after school. Teachers give us the homework assignment. So I do my homework that needs to be done at home. That’s my daily school routine.

Уроки заканчиваются в 2:45. После чего, я наконец-то иду домой и смотрю видео на YouTube. Прихожу домой по-разному. Зависит от того, что у меня после школы. Учителя дают нам домашнее задание. Так что, я делаю домашку, которая должна быть сделана дома. Вот такой мой школьный распорядок.

My most hated subject in school is Chemistry. A chemistry teacher is nice but I absolutely hate the subject. I love Art. Art class is wonderful for me. Then lunch comes around. It’s a time when I can cool off relax and just enjoy being with my friends. We talk a lot. Usually lunch lasts about 30 minutes.
The end of the school day at 14:30. It’s time to go home. My grandmother is taking me home. After school I enjoy play basketball. I go to bed at 10 o’clock. Well, that’s my school day!

Weekends I normally spend with my family. I enjoy an opportunity to sleep longer on the weekends. On Saturdays, my parents and I do a big cleaning. After that, we go somewhere together. It can be a cinema, a museum or a park. On Sundays, I have English class. I would like to improve my English that is why I have some extra lessons with my teacher. After that, I tend to visit my grandparents. They live not far from us. I understand how important it is for them to spend more time with us.
On the whole, my days are always full of different events and I really enjoy it.

I study in the seventh grade. I normally have six lessons and spend most part of my day at school. I really love my school. Teachers are understanding and kind there. When I do not understand something they are always ready to explain it to me one more time individually after the lesson. I appreciate it that all teachers have a unique approach to everyone. Moreover, a lot of teachers try to make the educational process more interesting for us. They organize different interactive lessons and give us some tasks where we can demonstrate our creativity. My classmates are friendly and helpful. We always support each other. After lessons, we very often spend time together. In our school, there is a special zone where we can sit, communicate with each other and play some games. I am really happy that atmosphere in my school is so amicable.

Когда я что-то не понимаю, они всегда готовы объяснить мне еще раз индивидуально после урока. Я ценю, что все преподаватели имеют уникальный подход к каждому. Более того, многие учителя стараются сделать образовательный процесс более интересным для нас. I also appreciate the fact that level of education in my school is really high. Core subjects in my school are languages. We have an opportunity to learn 2 foreign languages. Pupils from our school pass international exams in English and German successfully. Also, there are winners of different stages of all-Russian school Olympiad in the English language.

On Monday I usually wake up late and have no time to eat my breakfast. I can’t find my books and my school cap. At last I find my books in the bathroom and find my cap — my dog. Pal. likes to play with it. I have to wait ages for a bus and I am nearly late for school. I enter the classroom when our class-teacher begins to call out the register. The first lesson on Monday morning is math’s. Mr. Bailey, the math’s teacher, collects our homework and then gives us some sums to do. The next lesson is French. I like French. It’s nice to be able to talk to somebody in another language.
At last it is eleven o’clock: time for break. A girl, whose name is Susan, gives me a piece of cake to eat with my milk. She allows me to copy her Latin homework, because I don’t know how to do it. After break we have two lessons of Latin. There are a lot of boys in our class who don’t like Latin. I don’t like it either. At half past twelve it is time for lunch: a meat pie, boiled potatoes or cabbage and a glass of juice or milk. Then I go into the playground with my friends. We play football there. After lunch we have a history lesson. The history teacher tells us many interesting things.
After school my friends and I usually go for a walk. I come home very late, and my mother is very angry. In the evening I do my homework. Now I cannot do my homework — there is an interesting program on television. I think I can do it tomorrow, during break.
